Thrust into a new world on the island of Hecasia, a secret haven for magikal beings, Nat meets her vicious grandmother, the High Circle of Witches, and a celestial being only known as Andro, who all tell her the same thing: she’s the next in line to become the Supreme High Witch of Hecasia. But how can she do that if Mercy continues to screw with her head, and worse, she can’t even control the starfire that shoots from her palms?

 

Mercy and the rest of the Bane have plans for the city of Charleston: to make it a daemon-infested kingdom. Nat and her new friends can’t let that happen, but their Hecasian magik isn’t made for the offensive, and she fears their numbers won’t be enough to stop what’s coming from the jaws of hell.
